Hi Everyone!
Today I'm bringing you my first ever YouTube book review. This one is on The Drifters by James A. Michener, which I gave 2 out of 5 stars because it just really wasn't my cup of tea. Sad way to start off book reviews but hey ho! There will be many more of these to come (self-confessed bookworm!)

ReplyDeleteLike you said..its a rather old book and well, at least you can see how those books were written then. What a wonderful and sweet accent you have. All the best on your next book review. And thank you so much for visiting my blog and the encouragement too. At the moment, I'm writing a nanowritemo novel..which I doubt I'll show anyone. All I can say when you have a month to write a 50,000 page novel..things get crazy. In the book and my life.
ReplyDeleteWell Jade you can only give your opinion... I need a book to have a storyline myself...history is good to read but when it's supposed to have a storyline I expect one too... otherwise what's the use? I like your honest review xox ♡
ReplyDeleteHa, ha you totally gym-ball farted (and I heard another one later on!!!!). This was a good review although it's a shame you didn't really get the point of it, particularly as it was such a lengthy tome- 600+ pages!!!!!!!). x
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thank you for your kind comment- it means a lot to me that you took the time to say that- I regard your blog likewise!!x
ReplyDeleteP.P.S. Loved your tea priority- never mind the fact I'm filming a video- must have my caramel tea!x
Hi Jade, I also am quite a tea fan!!! :) I love your accent. Sometimes I wonder why some movies are slow underrated (or overrated), and the same with books. It all depends on the opinion of each reader, really. So nice to hear what you had to say and hear your voice. Thank you so much for sharing, and thanks a lot for your kind comment on my blog, it is greatly appreciated!
ReplyDeleteThis is really interesting. I would love to check it out. Thanks for the review! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up Jade, if it is 2 out 5 I will then wont touch this book and I'm a bookworm:), cant wait for the more to come!
ReplyDeleteHappy Nov,

Thanks for your honesty :) I remember I read a few books from James Michener when I was much much younger - I can imagine this books are now not the state of the art ;)

I'm not much of a Michener fan either. These days, I wouldn't even start one with that many pages and that small of print. My eyes don't hold up well for that sort of thing. Thank you for the review!
ReplyDeleteGood to know! I'm a very bookworm and these kind of post are very interesting to me!

Great review, I have not read Michener, maybe I won't bother! Too many good books to read and not enough time.

I never read anything by Michener. Usually I like to read biographys but my favorite author is Elizabeth Strout. Have you read anything by her?
