Keep Calm and Drink Green Tea

I like to try and drink as much green tea as I can in a day. I know how many people just cannot handle the taste of it but it is honestly so worth it with all of the amazing benefits that it can have on your body.

Benefits of drinking that dreaded green brew:

  • Did you know that Green Tea re-hydrates you better than water?!
  • It assists in weight loss by burning fat.
  • Acne prone skin can benefit greatly from green tea.
  • It is insanely good for the lungs.
  • Great for tooth decay and helps to prevent bad breath.
  • Green tea helps to lower blood pressure.
  • It is a great anti-inflammatory
  • Helps your digestion.
  • Lowers blood sugar.
  • Strengthens the immune system.
  • Green tea has the ability to reduce your stress levels.
  • Boosts your brain power

I also have a fantastic little trick as to how to enjoy the taste of green tea a little bit more!
What I do is slice up two slithers of fresh ginger (skin and all) and plop them into my tea. It takes that incredibly bitter taste of the tea away and adds a brand new flavor. Adding the ginger makes the drink even more beneficial to you too!

Benefits of Ginger:

  • Ginger helps to absorb nutrients
  • Assists in dulling down cramping pains.
  • Perfect to take if you're feeling like you're coming down with the flu as it aids in nose and throat congestion.
  • Helps if you get motion sickness.
  • Helps to prevent colon cancer.
  • Reduces pain and inflammation.
  • Ovarian cancer treatment

I also read once that green tea MAY (I could very well be under correction) assist in hair growth. I am willing to try just about anything at this point by am starting to really sway towards extensions. Does anyone know about extensions and have experience with them??? I'm keen to know any details.... Price is not a problem at this stage - I know it is going to be expensive.. but with that being said, it will make me so unbelievably happy to have long hair again.

So completely off the topic of green tea...

What are your thoughts and advice on hair extensions???

    1. It gets better through time - now I can even have it without ginger if I've run out of it.. So your taste buds develop... It is so much better to suffer through 5minutes of something that's not too tasty for all of the great benefits that it has! x

  7. I love green tea. And nice transition from tea to extensions! lol

I am not a fan of extensions, I tried them once and have had a few friends try them as well, the conclusion is all the same, they make your hair fall out and if you use them for a long time, you get bald spots. They look nice but you pay a price.

Plus your natural hair is beautiful the way it is :)

  25. I was living in a level of pain before I came to know that green drinks existed. Now, once I stop taking Green supplements for a few days I immediately feel my energy levels drop, headaches set in, and I feel pretty out of it. The second I get going on it again, I feel myself coming back into alignment with lots of energy.
